This buttermilk biscuit made from Steamed Chickpea Flour is perfect for serving with sausage gravy, or even just butter and honey. Bakes up with fluffy layers in the center and crispy, flavorful edges.

Flaky biscuit perfect for biscuits and gravy


  • 25.0 g Steamed Chickpea Flour
  • 8.3 g Brown Rice Flour
  • 5.0 g Tapioca Flour
  • 5.0 g Rice Flour
  • 0.5 g Xanthan gum
  • 0.5 g Psyllium fiber
  • 0.5 g Salt
  • 2.5 g Baking powder
  • 18.8 g Butter
  • 18.3 g Milk
  • 16.7 g Whole eggs
  • 6.0 g Honey


  • Blend dry ingredients together
  • Cut butter in until small pieces remain
  • Stir together buttermilk and honey, blend with lightly beaten egg
  • Add to dry ingredients and mix until the dough comes together
  • Let dough rest 15-20 minutes
  • Roll out dough, cut into desired sizes
  • Bake 15-17 minutes at 400°F (204°C)
