Gluten Free Chickpea Waffle

Never make a compromise when it comes to eating breakfast food. If wheat causes you to doubt taking another bite, it’s probably time to cast all fear aside and dive into a gluten free waffle made with Steamed Chickpea Flour. Serve it hot with a couple slices of butter, smother it in real maple syrup, and you won’t be able to stop at one.

Gluten Free Chickpea Waffle

Crispy and soft, this gluten free version of a breakfast favorite will not dissapoint.

  • 130.0 g Steamed Chickpea Flour (CP100-S)
  • 45.0 g Brown Rice Flour
  • 10.0 g Oat Flour
  • 2.0 g Salt
  • 42.0 g Sugar
  • 7.0 g Baking Powder
  • 110.0 g Eggs
  • 200.0 g Water
  • 5.0 g Vanilla
  • 66.0 g Butter


  • Whisk together dry ingredients.
  • Whisk together eggs, water, oil/butter and vanilla.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix until well blended.
  • Process in heated waffle iron.
  • For a lighter waffle, separate eggs and follow below:
  • In a bowl whisk together egg yolks, water, butter and vanilla.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix until blended.
  • In another bowl, beat egg whites until they hold soft peaks.
  • Fold egg whites into batter.
  • Process in heated waffle iron.
