IVORY100 Spray Dried Soymilk Powder

IVORY100 Spray Dried Soymilk Powder is a “whole bean” soymilk powder made with a proprietary spray drying process. IVORY100 provides unique functional characteristics in a low-cost base soy material, suitable for the development of a wide range of soy beverages, dairy analogs and other good-for-you products.

BACKGROUND

NPI has manufactured base ingredients used in the manufacturing of soymilk and tofu for many years. Our position in the market has allowed us to evaluate all of the available base soymilk technologies and define a niche for ourselves. In the summer of 2012, NPI developed its own spray dried powder process, with these goals in mind:

  • developing the least cost/highest value soymilk powder available today
  • eliminating as many processing steps as possible without compromising quality
  • minimizing manufacturing loss and control cost-of-manufacturing
  • retaining maximum nutrition and functionality

How did we do it?

  • We developed a proprietary process that breaks down the fiber (okara) and allows us to leave it in the powder, while delivering a smooth mouthfeel and excellent functionality
  • We eliminated filtration steps that increase costs
  • We optimized the processing for high solubility and low flavor

IVORY100 has very good hydration properties for industrial beverage manufacturing lines, and is ready for you to add flavors. Because it has a smooth mouth feel, IVORY100 can work in dry instant beverage mixes (canisters or sachets), but a homogenizer improves mouthfeel even more. IVORY100 requires a stabilizer system such as carrageenan to remain in suspension. Use IVORY100 in:

  • Tetra Pak soymilks: “Shake before drinking”
  • Soy-fortified milk/soy blends
  • Grain based beverages: “Good source of fiber”
  • Dairy-free ice cream, yogurt, cream cheese, dips, etc.
  • High protein fruit smoothies or dry mix packets (>7g soy protein/serving possible)
